Boards & Commissions

The City of College Place has several Boards and Commissions that assist the City Council by reviewing various matters and making recommendations to the Council. This is a great way to be of service to your community and have a voice in the direction of your City. Please think about volunteering your time and sharing some of your expertise with your community.

We currently have the following openings:

Economic Development, Tourism, and Events Commission - Position 1 & Position 5 (4 year terms expiring 12/31/2026 ).

Historic Preservation Commission - Position 3 (3 year term expiring 12/31/2025) 

Planning Commission - Position2 (4 year term expiring 12/31/2025)

Utilities and Transportation Advisory Commission - Position 1 - Walla Walla University Representative (4 year term expiring 12/31/2026)

2023 Color Calendar
Planning Commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM
Economic Development Tourism and Events Commission meets the first Monday of each month at 5:00 PM
Historic Preservation Commission meets the third Thursday of each month at 4:00 PM
Lodging Tax Advisory Commission meets on the first Thursday of November each year. Time TBD
Parks, Arbor and Recreation Commission meets the fourth Friday of January, March, May, July, September, and October at 8:00 AM.
Utilities and Transportation Advisory Commission meets the second Thursday of February, May, August and November at 3:30 PM
Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board meets as needed.
The Youth Advisory Commission meets the third Wednesday of February, April, and October at 4:00 PM. 
Civil Service Commission meets the second Thursday of each month at Noon.
