The Elections Department is a part of the Walla Walla County Auditor's Office.  They are responsible for administering elections in the county for all federal, state, county, municipal, and special districts.  Elections typically occur four times per year. Special Elections are held in February or April, a Primary Election is held in August, and a General Election is held in November. Other elections are scheduled as needed.

The County Elections Department is also responsible for voter registration. Walla Walla County has approximately 33,000 voters. Voters are assigned precincts based on their address and that information is kept in a voter database. As information about a voter changes, the voter registration files are updated.
