The Budget Calendar for the Creation of the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget is as follows: 

  • Finance Director prepares budget worksheets for each department: 6/1 -7/10/2017
  • Estimates are to be filed with the Clerk: RCW 35A.33.030: 7/31/2017
  • Estimates are presented to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for modifications, revisions, or additions: 9/12/2017
  • Revenue estimates provided to the City Council: 9/26/2017
  • Hearing to set Property Taxes: 10/10/2017
  • Preliminary budget hearing: 10/24/2017
  • Preliminary budget and budget message filed with City Clerk: 11/1/2017
  • Final hearing on proposed budget RCW 35A.33.070: 11/28/2017
  • Adoption of budget for FIscal Year 2018 RCW 35A.33.075: 12/12/2017
